Milled sour peat (pH 3.0–4.5)

Milled acidic peat is a high-moor peat with a low level of decomposition, characterized by an acidic reaction of the environment (pH 3.0–4.5). It is extracted by milling and is characterized by high moisture capacity, light structure and excellent air permeability.

Main advantages:

• Ideal for producing substrates for acid-loving plants (blueberries, rhododendrons, conifers).
• Improves soil structure, helps retain moisture and nutrients.

Milled slightly acidic and neutral peat (pH 5.5–7.0)

Milled peat with a pH of 5.5–7.0 is obtained from lowland or drained bogs. It contains more humus and mineral impurities, has a dark color and a denser structure.
