Dried pulverized peat – a modern, environmentally friendly fuel and raw material for industry.

Today, many businesses and private households are looking for an alternative to expensive energy sources. One of the most affordable and effective solutions is dried pulverized peat. This product is formed after drying and finely grinding peat, resulting in a free-flowing powder with a high calorific value and a wide range of applications.

What is pulverized peat?

Dried pulverized peat is a natural organic material that:

  • has low moisture content (usually 20%);
  • has a high calorific value – 15–18 MJ/kg;
  • contains minimal amounts of sulfur and other harmful impurities;
  • is characterized by a homogeneous fraction, which facilitates dosing and transportation.

In terms of its characteristics, peat dust is similar to brown coal, but is more environmentally friendly and affordable.

Advantages of use

  1. Fuel savings – the cost per ton of pulverized peat is significantly lower than that of coal or gas.
  2. Environmentally friendly – fewer sulfur compounds are emitted when burned than when using coal.
  3. Versatility – can be used as a standalone fuel or as a additive.
  4. Ease of transportation – peat is easily packaged in big bags or 25–50 kg sacks.
  5. Availability – rich peat deposits in Ukraine and Eastern European countries ensure a stable supply.

Main Applications

Energy
Pulverized peat is used for combustion in:

  • boiler houses of enterprises;
  • thermal power plants;
  • private boilers and furnaces.

Due to its uniform combustion and high heat transfer, it is considered a profitable replacement for coal.

Industry
In industry, peat dust is used:

  • as a reducing agent in metallurgy;
  • as an additive in cement production;
  • in the manufacture of sorbents and adsorbent materials.

Agriculture
Pulverized peat This form is also in demand in the agricultural sector:

  • as an additive to soil mixtures and fertilizers;
  • as a raw material for bedding in livestock farming (absorbs moisture and odors);
  • as a component in the production of vermicompost.

Fuel production
Dried pulverized peat is an ideal raw material for:

  • briquetting (peat briquettes);
  • pelletizing (peat granules);
  • mixture with wood waste, which increases the density and energy value of the finished fuel.

Delivery forms and packaging
To satisfy different market segments, pulverized peat is supplied in various Formats:

  • in bulk – by heavy-duty transport;
  • in big bags weighing 500–1000 kg;
  • in 25–50 kg bags for retail customers and small boiler houses.

Market and Export Opportunities
Demand for peat fuel is steadily growing in Europe. Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, Italy, and France are actively using peat as an alternative energy source and a component for the production of briquettes and fertilizers. With the transition to green energy, pulverized peat is becoming an important component in the renewable resource market.
